Mediocre Duff Goldman Imitation

I chose to imitate Duff Goldman, a famous baker who has been on many shows, including Ace of Cakes. He actually makes a pink (and green) camouflage cake mix that can be bought at most places. It was a little tougher than you think though. It wasn't like baking a box cake. You had to add the food coloring and separate the batter out and you could be creative in how you put the colors into the cake pan. While Duff is known for his cool designs and structures of the cakes, he is also known for things like this. At my apartment, we only have one cake pan, so I just made a normal cake but with his cake mix!
This is the cake mix that I bought at Walmart that is from Duff Goldman.

While I am no chef, my roommates really liked the cake and thought it was good, so it wasn't just my bias. It turned out really cool looking I think, and it was a lot of fun to make. It probably wouldn't pass or meet Duff's expectations, but for my novice cooking skills, it passed.
